What does "cordless" mean for this sconce?
Vela runs on an internal rechargeable battery, so there is no cord, no flex and no wiring of any kind. Nothing needs to be routed through the wall and no electrician is required. A slim magnetic plate fixes to the wall — by screw or by adhesive pad — and the lamp simply clicks onto it, so it lifts straight off to recharge over USB-C and clicks back. One charge lasts upwards of twenty hours.
Which colour finish should I choose?
Black suits contemporary, pared-back interiors and works particularly well against white or concrete walls. Gold is warmer and more classic, complementing natural materials and warmer paint tones. Both are available in the same slim form.
What colour temperature does Vela emit?
Vela produces a soft, warm glow well suited to bedside and hallway use. Please see the Specs tab for the precise colour temperature and LED specification.
Is Vela dimmable?
Yes. Vela dims through the remote that comes with it, and the same remote switches between the three colour modes — warm, natural and cool white. Because it runs on its own battery, it does not depend on a wall dimmer or an LED driver, and nothing needs to be wired in.
How large is the Vela, and is it suitable as a bedside light?
The Vela is designed as a slim, vertical accent. It works excellently as a bedside light. The even, diffused bar illuminates without glare, and the cordless finish keeps the nightstand and wall perfectly uncluttered. See the Specs tab for exact dimensions.

A really interesting option for wall-mounted lamps. Installation took just five minutes, and it looks nice.
It arrived well packaged. I attached it using the included tape, though it also comes with hardware for mounting it with screws. Excellent.

Looks great on the wall but the battery drains faster than advertised when we use it every evening. Charging often gets old.
It's more of a soft accent light than something to read by. Perfect over our bed for winding down at night though.

No wiring needed which was the whole point for us. The gold finish is nice, light is fairly soft.
Started with one in the hallway and liked it so much I added three around the house. Charging is simple with the cable.
Put one each side of the dresser mirror. Warm light, no cords hanging down, exactly what I wanted for the space.
Rented apartment so wiring wasn't an option. These stick up in minutes and the gold line looks way more premium than the price.
